The Voice of the Turtle Online is a regularly updated form for members of the AWAB Council to communicate with our members and for you to share your thoughts and concerns with the greater Welcoming & Affirming community. You are invited to share news of what is happening within your church or greater community. Of particular interest are issue related to justice and inclusion for LGBT Baptists. Perhaps you’d like to share the story of your acceptance of your child or how your church became a Welcoming & Affirming congregation.

We all have stories. It is through the sharing of our life experiences that we come to realize that we are all much more alike than we are different.  Please keep AWAB, W&A churches, LGBT people in our churches, seminaries and pulpits in your thoughts and prayers.  It is a tough, often discouraging thing to hear who you are attached in church, by our leaders and to feel marginalized in so many ways. We are all God’s children, and we must keep faith by believing in the love and grace that is Christ Jesus.
