VOICE OF THE TURTLE Online

This online journal is a means of communication between the AWAB Council and select authors to our members and interested parties. The web journal takes its name from a print publication, Voice of the Turtle, which served the LGBT rights movement within the American Baptists Churches from 1979 until 2003. "Behold the turtle, it only makes progress when it sticks its neck out," is the motto of the VOT. It refers the fact that just like the turtle, we who seek justice and equality for LGBT people within the church must often put ourselves on the line to spread the knowledge of God's inclusiveness.
