The congregational self-assessment tool is designed to help you select an appropriate Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists (AWAB) curriculum from the cautious and measured to the adventuresome. These questions are not to be seen as sure-fire predictors, but they may serve as helpful guides to a congregation’s overall temperament when considering controversial subjects. |

| Holly Union and Marriage Certificates | |
| AWAB has been asked to provide certificates for holy unions or marriages. Resources for same-sex ceremonies are not always readily available. AWAB is providing holy union and marriage certificates to be used by AWAB ministers and congregations in accordance with congregational policies. A second set of certificates is provided for use by non-AWAB ministers and congregations. Certificates are in PDF form. | |

| What does the Bible say about homosexuality, and what do Welcoming and Affirming Baptists believe? Welcoming & Affirming Baptists have many different answers to this question, most of us would say that our affirmation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people is based on scripture. We welcome lgbt people in our churches because that is what we believe Jesus would do. How can we come to this conclusion? What about "Sodom and Gomorrah" and all those other scriptural passages that seem to condemn gays? Click on the links below for answers to these and other questions about the Bible. | |
