Old Cambridge Baptist Church Seeks Interim Pastor

 Old
Cambridge Baptist Church in Cambridge, MA is a progressive
peace and justice congregation seeking an intentional
interim pastor to begin in January or February of 2012. We
are an American Baptist Church, a founding member of the
Association of Welcoming
and Affirming Baptists, and
are affiliated with the
Alliance of Baptists.
Our church is located in Harvard Square and attracts
visitors from around the globe. The congregation has a long
history of social justice advocacy, inclusive liturgy,
progressive preaching, and a vibrant music program. We seek
an energetic intentional interim pastor with skills and
experience in handling transitions and working with an
active laity to discern who they are, who they wish to
become, and what must happen prior to calling a settled
pastor. A welcoming and affirming stance and commitment to
progressive peace and justice issues are essential.

 Are you interested in being on an AWAB list of seminarians, licensed and ordained clergy seeking pastoral and other positions within our network of AWAB congregations and affiliated organizations? Hearing from our churches that it is often difficult to find the kinds of progressive candidates that they are looking for, we are building a list of people who are committed to the Welcoming and Affirming Movement as well as maintaining a relationship with AWAB into the future. Your name will be kept on this list and will only be shared with our member and supporting churches and affiliated organizations as they seek qualified candidates for job openings.
