| Although Welcoming & Affirming Baptists would have many different answers to this question, most of us would say that our affirmation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people is based on scripture. We welcome lgbt people in our churches because that is what we believe Jesus would do. How can we come to this conclusion?
